Windom Community School

We have been part of Windom since 2010! Located in the Media Center room of the school, BLC supports working families through before and after school programming. Our goal is to create meaningful moments at BLC that are enriching, enjoyable, and rewarding. Our days are filled with a blend of recreational activities, creativity, teambuilding, and Spanish communication. Being bilingual is celebrated as a superpower, and differences are embraced. Through daily themes, activities, and meaningful conversations, we nurture important values—helping shape our kiddos into the next confident and compassionate leaders.

Nokomis Heights Lutheran Church

Our Nokomis site welcomes students from across Minneapolis and nearby districts, including many from Spanish Immersion schools like Emerson and Green Central. Spanish is at the heart of everything we do—around 80% of daily communication happens in Spanish, with staff instructing, engaging, and interacting in the language throughout the program.

Through creative projects, games, team-building, and more, kids are encouraged to express themselves, celebrate their differences, and connect with the many cultures around them. We also emphasize core values like responsibility, kindness, and leadership—nurturing confident bilingual learners who are ready to make a positive impact in our future communities!

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp is a time where families from a variety of Spanish-speaking backgrounds come together for hands-on learning inspired by whimsical weekly themes that spark imagination and play. With flexible registration, you can join us for one or all our weeks—whatever works best for your family! Each week includes cooking, STEM exploration, wading pool and local park visits, water play, Spanish immersion, and engaging activities with guest partners.

Campers build their Spanish language skills naturally through songs, stories, play, and daily conversations and overview of the “magic words”—whether they’re native speakers or just beginning their bilingual journey.

We’re committed to creating a summer full of creativity, discovery, and new friendships—where every child feels welcome, celebrated, and inspired to grow!

Christ Catholic School

In addition to our regular programs, we are proud to partner with Risen Christ Catholic School. Our staff is dedicated to supporting families of Risen Christ where 95% of the student population is Latino, through language and fostering strong connections. We provide tutoring for students in need and before school programs for working families needing an earlier start to school. Our activities align with our mission of bridging academic disparities, through academic support, movement, and creative exploration. We hope to inspire curiosity and love for learning while enjoying their language and each other's different cultural backgrounds!

Minnehaha Academy Expansion

Twice a week, we partner with Minnehaha Academy students to explore the Spanish language and celebrate cultural traditions. Every other week, guest artists and educators lead engaging sessions in Latino dance, music, art, and basic Spanish. This program is a vibrant reflection of our mission—to honor diversity, spark curiosity, and help kids connect through shared experiences and cultural exploration.

Richfield Dual Language initiative

This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to educational equity and community support. We have partnered with RDLS to provide scholarships for children in need for weekly tutoring sessions taught by experienced Spanish-speaking educators. These sessions are designed to support them through their current curriculum, as well as their bilingual skills and their own individual needs.
