Windom Community School
We have been part of Windom Community School since 2010! Located in the Media Center, BLC supports working families through before and after school programs aimed to foster meaningful moments that are enriching, fun, and rewarding. Start your day with exciting and uplifting energy with games, friends, music and movement, or end the school day with fun challenges, teambuilding, storytelling and creative outlets. Our programs are led by bilingual leaders who are passionate about empowering your kiddos to grow into confident, compassionate individuals—excited to learn Spanish and explore diverse cultures.
Nokomis Heights Lutheran Church
Welcome to our Nokomis site where students from across Minneapolis and nearby districts join us —arriving by bus, on foot with BLC walks, or through parent drop-off. Spanish immersion through games and play is at the heart of everything we do. About 80% of our daily communication happens in Spanish, with fun and exciting after school activities where kids come to make friends, engage and never want to go home. Let's talk about arranging transportation to our program!
Summer Camp
Our Summer Camp is a time where families from a variety of Spanish-speaking backgrounds come together for hands-on learning inspired by whimsical weekly themes that spark imagination and play.With flexible registration, you can join us for one or all our weeks—whatever works best for your family! Campers build their Spanish language skills naturally through songs, stories, play, cooking, STEM, art, and daily conversations—whether they’re native speakers or just beginning their bilingual journey.

Risen Christ Catholic School
In addition to our regular programs, we are proud to partner with Risen Christ Catholic School. Our staff is dedicated to supporting our families—where 95% of our students are Latino—by fostering strong connections and celebrating language. We offer tutoring for students who need extra support and before-school programs for working families who need an earlier start to the day.
Through this partnership, we aim to inspire curiosity and a love for learning through the students, while celebrating Spanish and the many cultural backgrounds that make this community special.

Minnehaha Academy Expansion
Twice a week, we partner with Minnehaha Academy students to explore the Spanish language and celebrate cultural traditions. Every other week, guest artists and educators lead engaging sessions in Latino dance, music, art, and basic Spanish. This program is a vibrant reflection of our mission—to honor diversity, spark curiosity, and help kids connect through shared experiences and cultural exploration.
Richfield Dual Language initiative
This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to educational equity and community support.
We have partnered with RDLS to provide scholarships for children in need for weekly tutoring sessions taught by experienced Spanish-speaking educators. These sessions are designed to support them through their current curriculum, as well as their bilingual skills and their own individual needs.
